drdigbyR. W. Digby, M.D., F.A.C.C. Dr. Digby is a native of Georgia and a graduate of the University of Georgia, magna cum laude, and of the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his internship, residency and cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia hospitals and clinics in Augusta, Georgia. A veteran of the U.S. Army Medical Corps, Dr. Digby is a former clinical Professor of Medicine at Texas Tech School of Medicine. Dr. Digby is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, and the American Society of Echocardiography. He has been with Gaston Medical Group since 1977 and specializes in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and is board certified in each. Dr. Digby also directs our echocardiography and carotid ultrasonography laboratories and our stress testing facility. He is a former Chief of Staff at Gaston Memorial Hospital as well as former Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Cardiology at that facility.
drthomasDavid T. Thomas, M.D. Dr. Thomas joined Gaston Medical Group in 1991. He attended the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and graduated from UNC Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Florida Shands Hospital. Dr. Thomas is board certified in Internal Medicine and is Director of The Medical Spa offering specialized programs for individual patients. Dr. Thomas is certified in Age Management Medicine and has extensive training in age management medicine including onsite training at Cenegerics in Las Vegas, the premier age management facility in the world. He has expertise in weight management, bioidentical hormones and age management.
drleflerRodger W. Lefler, M.D., F.A.C.P. Dr. Lefler joined Gaston Medical Group in 2012. He is board certified in internal medicine and has been practicing in Gaston County for over 9 years. He graduated from Drake University in 1972 with a BS Degree in Pharmacy. He attended medical school and got his MD degree from the University of IllinoisCollege of Medicine in 1977. He completed his residency in 1980 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He has served in various administrative capacities including serving as President of the Gaston County Medical Society from 2010-2012 and President of the Medical Staff at Donough District Hospital in Macomb, Illinois from 1986-1988. He was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the VHA Great Rivers Network from 1994-1995. He was a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee of Gaston Memorial Hospital from 2003-2011. He is currently a Fellow in the American College of Physicians and a member of the Gaston County and North Carolina Medical Societies. He is an active staff member at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
hardoldfite2Harold Fite, PA Mr. Fite is a Gaston County native. He graduated from UNC Charlotte and from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. He is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. His employment history is that of the emergency room at Genesee Hospital, Rochester, New York, LeBauer Medical Group, Greensboro, North Carolina, and CaroMont Internal Medicine, Gastonia, North Carolina before he joined Gaston Medical Group in 2002. Mr. Fite is active in various community organizations.
jennifer_bizunehJennifer Bizuneh, A/GNP-C, DNP Jennifer grew up in Long Island, NY.  She moved to North Carolina to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  She later enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and received her Master of Science in Nursing in 2010.  She has received national certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as both an Adult Nurse Practitioner and a Gerontologic Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in the clinic setting and in the hospital setting.  As a Staff Nurse, RN, she worked at the Emergency Departments for Carolinas Medical Center at University and Gaston Memorial Hospital.  In addition at Gaston Memorial, she also helped interview and train the paramedics to work in parallel with the trauma nurses.  She worked as General Surgery Nurse Practitioner at Caromont Surgical Associates.  As an Adult Nurse Practitioner she has held positions at Trina Diabetes Healthcare in Charlotte and Complete Laser Clinic in Hickory, where she was also the Clinical Director. “I am passionate about my profession and dedicated to the patients I serve.  One of the things I enjoy most is participating in medical mission trips.  I’ve had the privilege to become part of several medical missions and I look forward to the opportunity to participate in many more.” She enjoys having quality time with her husband and three children, along with reading, hiking, cooking, and traveling.
Rhodenna_ArnRhodenna S. Arn,
Rhodenna Arn was born in West Virginia and grew up in Chicago, moving to North Carolina 24 years ago. She has 30 years of nursing experience beginning as an LPN in 1985. She received her Associate degree as an RN in 1991 at Bluefield State College (Bluefield, WV) and later received her BSN in 2004 at Winston Salem State University. She is a recent 2015 graduate at East Carolina University with a Master of Science of Nursing and has received national certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her clinical nursing experience is diverse, focused primarily in critical care settings that have included intensive care, coronary care, interventional cardiac cath lab and critical care ground transport. She has leadership experience as charge nurse and hospital nursing supervisor. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the North Carolina Nurses Association. She is passionate and committed to patient-centered care that focuses on wellness promotion and disease prevention. Some things she enjoys are quality time with her husband/workout buddy, and spoiling their 2 grandchildren and 3 cats. She enjoys “travelling and finding good food in local dives.” She sings soprano in her church choir. Her favorite TV channels are HGTV and Food Network. “I am proud and excited to be joining Gaston Medical Group as a healthcare partner and share in your impressive and longstanding history of meeting the healthcare needs of this community.”
